Special Counsel Lisa Maynard was this week one of only 2 lawyers in Victoria to view the proposed Bill to re-write the Accident Compensation Act.

Lisa sits on a committee charged with the role of responding to the proposed changes where she represents not only injured workers, but also all lawyers in Victoria through her role on the Law Institute of Victoria's Accident Compensation Committee. Lisa is unable to discuss any details of the proposed changes, but was able to provide valuable feedback on some parts of the Bill that required further attention. Lisa understands that the Bill is still months away from being introduced.
