Devastating consequences of workplace stress

Devastating consequences of workplace stress

A terribly sad Sunday Age article about the death of school principal Dr Mark Thompson throws into sharp relief the issue of workplace stress and its devastating consequences.

Its publication comes a few days after the release of results from a study commissioned by the Australian Education Union (AEU) showed that overwork and stress are endemic issues among Victorian teachers and principals.

The AEU is currently negotiating a new Schools Agreement with the state Government, which is hoped to assist in alleviating some of these issues.

Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers is proud of its longstanding relationship with the AEU, and regularly advise the Union and its members on issues relating to workers compensation.
