Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers has been partnering with Soroptimist International in Melbourne to inspire and encourage at risk young women to continue their education.
In June 2017 Redlich's held a fundraising lunch at our offices on Bourke Street, raising $3,000 towards hosting breakfast event 'Empowering Young Women Through Education'.
At this morning's event, there was 140 girls in attendance who were identified as being at risk of not completing year 12.
Over a buffet breakfast, students and teachers listened to inspirational stories, participated in exciting activities and had the chance to meet and talk with professional women about their own struggles.
Redlich's former Senior Associate Naty Guerrero-Diaz was a key speaker, and her inspirational story covered her life in Chile, time at school, life's ups and downs and how she dealt with challenge.
Practice Director Catherine Sim and former Associates Deidre Petrakis and Janet Tucci, along with Lawyer Kirsty Osborne, also attended the event in a 'mentor' capacity, sharing their own stories and completing an activity with the women at their table.
