Liability in Lorne: Falls Festival stampede

The liability of the Falls Festival organisers in relation to the stampede that occurred at its Lorne event on 30 December 2016 is currently being investigated by Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers. The stampede occurred when a crowd of patrons were rushing through the narrow exit of a music tent to get to the main stage around 10pm on the Friday evening. More than 60 festival goers were injured in the stampede and 19 were taken to hospital in Geelong with crush injuries. Victims are also likely to experience psychological trauma as a result of the incident. WorkSafe Victoria are conducting an investigation into the practices and safety procedures relating to the incident. If you were injured during the incident, contact Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers on (03) 9321 9988.
