Melbourne's proposed 'skyrail' is back on the government's agenda as a solution to ease congestion and provide a low-cost solution to link Melbourne to the airport and suburbs. The implementation would provide for an alternative transport solution, when there is no space left on ground level for new public transport infrastructure. It is considered that the planned sky rail will stop the risk of fatalities from rail crossings as well as giving us a new safe bike path which is safer and healthier for all Victorians.
