Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers have recently settled a case for a worker who tripped and fell over a bundle of wires whilst carrying a box in an unsafe workplace. As a result of the incident he sustained a serious injury to his back and has not been able to return to his pre-injury employment as a machine operator.
The worker was successful in his application to the County Court, where the judge found that he had sustained a serious injury with regard to both his lost earnings and the pain and suffering consequences of his injury. In the judgment of the Court it was stated that the plaintiff was a most impressive witness and a witness of truth.
Given the favourable comments from the judge, the Defendant agreed to settle the worker's claim for compensation prior to the need for another court hearing on the questions of negligence and damages.
