The man worked for the same national, multi-million dollar company, for 27 years. He was dedicated to his job and often worked up to 12 hour shifts, starting at 6am. Despite his years of loyal service, the insurer tried to deny his claim by stating that he was a self-employed contractor as opposed to an employee.

The Plaintiff has been profoundly affected by his hearing loss, and finds that he is unable to engage in many social occasions due to his inability to hear clearly.
