TAC decision almost ruined school holidays for one Frankston family

Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers recently helped to guarantee that a man from Frankston with an acquired brain injury could spend the school holidays with his 4 year old son.

Mr Shaun Martin sustained a head injury when he was struck by a train when he was only 2 years old. As an adult, his injury prevents him from being able to care for his 4-year-old son Lachlan. A carer is required to be present whenever Shaun is supervising Lachlan. This service has for many years been funded by the TAC as it is needed due to the injuries he sustained in the train accident.

One week before Lachlan was to arrive at Shaun and his mother's house, the TAC advised that they were no longer funding a carer. This move devastated Shaun and his mother as Lachlan was to spend the school holidays with them.

Michael Lombard promptly challenged the decision of the TAC. He ensured that the dispute was dealt with urgently and his efforts ultimately led to the TAC overturning their decision allowing for Lachlan to spend the school holidays with his dad.

If you have been adversely effected by a decision of the TAC, we invite you to contact Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers on 9321 9988 and get advice from a lawyer over the phone.
