Emily Priddle is an Associate at Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers specialising in WorkCover, TAC and Public Liability claims.
Emily completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology at La Trobe University and her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law.
Based in the Epping office, Emily prides herself on providing expert legal advice with compassion and care, and aims to ensure that her clients achieve the best possible outcome in their circumstances.
Her interest in personal injury originates from her desire and passion to act for clients who are less privileged in society to ensure they have equal access to justice. She believes every person deserves this opportunity and is guided by this mentality when navigating our clients through the WorkCover system. Her ambition to validate emotions and individual circumstances allows her to advocate for justice through focusing on worker’s rights and entitlements.
Outside of work, Emily loves spending time with her family and friends, playing netball and keeping fit.
Experience
Emily has been involved in numerous personal injury litigation and settlements, including:
- A substantial pain and suffering settlement for a teacher subjected to abuse while teaching in a special education setting whose serious injury application was initially rejected.
- Successfully obtaining ongoing weekly payments beyond the second entitlement period for a woman who sustained psychological injuries due to repetitive and unreasonable harassment by her principal.
- A successful settlement before court proceedings were issued for a woman who sustained a back injury whilst working in a hospital, arising from the employer's negligence on three different occasions.
- Several settlements achieved through Magistrate’s Court proceedings for workers whose entitlement to weekly payments had been terminated.
- A significant settlement for a man who sustained a hip injury and required a total hip replacement when he fell off a ladder due to an unsafe system of work and the employer’s failure to carry out hazard identification or risk assessment.
