Why did you become a lawyer?

Unfortunately – TV. However, when I went to university, I learned to love the intricacies and almost artistic nature of the law and interpretation.

How long have you been with Redlich's?

6.5 years.

What has been your most rewarding case?

My most rewarding cases are those involving clients with psychiatric injuries. There is a mental health crisis in Australia, and it is poorly understood. The legislation is often unfairly weighted against workers with psychiatric injuries, and any opportunity to help these workers be heard is rewarding both personally and professionally.

What is your favourite memory about working with the Redlich's team?

The team is truly collegiate, and everyone rejoices in each other’s success. I have met some wonderful people in my time here and I have learned so much from each and every one.

Who is your hero/role model?

Teachers – with three teachers in my family, and working with AEU clients, I have been exposed to just how hard teachers work and time and time again I am in awe of their dedication.

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.

What advice would you give to an aspiring lawyer?

Find a supportive environment and contribute positively to the culture.
