About the Role
We are seeking a Vietnamese speaking lawyer, ideally with 2-4 years PAE in personal injury law litigation. Located in our Springvale office the role offers the opportunity to manage a variety of work including WorkCover, TAC, Public Liability and Superannuation TPD claims. You will express a passion for these areas and seek to provide exceptional client service in all that you do.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect the role to include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal injury claims primarily Worker’s Compensation from instruction through to settlement
- Meet with clients and take instructions
- Provide clear and coherent verbal and written advice to clients
- Draft court documentation
- Attend settlement conferences, mediation and Court
- Liaise with clients, defendant lawyers, barristers, insurers, medical practitioners, liability experts investigators etc
- Work collaboratively with legal assistants and team.
About You
We are seeking an engaged lawyer with experience in WorkCover given this will make up the predominance of the work undertaken. We also undertake TAC, Public Liability and Superannuation TPD claims, so any experience in these areas would be advantageous but by no means is this essential.
You will also be passionate about supporting clients and playing a hands-on role.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Prior experience in managing files autonomously
- Exposure to litigation and advocacy, or the desire to further develop advocacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor communication to best suit your audience
- High level drafting, written and oral communication, including fluency in spoken Vietnamese
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong work ethic, drive and initiative
- Ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
- An engaged team player with a positive attitude and genuine interest in assisting others to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
- Ability to assist and impart knowledge with less experienced lawyers.
This role presents great file autonomy and the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting personal injury matters.
