The COVID-19 pandemic has put a spotlight on the critical role of healthcare workers around the world.

In support of our frontline heroes, the Victorian Government has announced additional funding for healthcare workers who have been impacted as a result of their tireless efforts to keep our nation safe.

The additional assistance will include:

• The Victorian Doctors Health Program (VDHP) will receive $500,000 enabling them to further provide free confidential advice and support issues arising from the Coronavirus pandemic.
• The Nursing and Midwifery Health Program Victoria will receive $350,000 which will go towards telehealth services and provide support to those with health concerns.

Despite this additional funding, it remains all too common that our health professionals experience physical and mental injuries as a result of their work.
