Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers are committed to providing legal advice and representation to disadvantaged clients. We have a proud history of pro bono work and are currently working on a range of pro bono matters.
Practice Director Linda Hanley are assisting women seeking Family Violence Intervention Orders in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court. Through our support of the Women's Legal Service we provide caring and compassionate advice, and are there for our clients during an exceptionally difficult time.
Redlich's Work Injury Lawyers also support JusticeConnect's 'Lawyers in a Bus' program. Through this program Redlich's has worked with a client seeking to demonstrate financial independence. We have collated information to show he is able to budget and manage his own money. We hope to assist him to make an application to VCAT for independence from his current financial administrator. Another client seeks to make a property claim against a former de-facto partner. We have been collecting documentation from VCAT, the ATO and two previous financial administrators in an attempt to substantiate this claim.
Our lawyers have also acted for various clients through JusticeConnect's 'Seniors Law' program. These clients have various 'elder law' related issues, including recovery of money entrusted to family members. Unfortunately, family members who are financially irresponsible or make bad investment decisions often have several creditors. As a result, our client's claims can become entangled in family law or debt recovery disputes and it can be difficult to get our clients the payout they deserve. We work hard for these clients and provide them with support and pragmatic advice during the process.
Redlich's is also assisting an impecunious defendant who, in his capacity as a contractor for a now deregistered interstate company, was involved in an accident. The insurance company is pursuing our client for damages despite the accident occurring in circumstances where our client was not at fault. The team are now working with the insurance company in order to achieve a more desirable outcome for their client.
